Artbox Singapore began last evening at Bayfront Event Space. The weekend flea market is an adaptation of Artbox Thailand – a famous creative market in Bangkok. At the event which I visited last evening – which was very packed with an enthusiastic crowd. A total of more than 300 fashion and food stalls were open for business – offering an array of works from Thai fashion designers to quirky lifestyle products and scrumptious street food in a delightful setting. While I have yet to visit Artbox Bangkok, the crowd at the Singapore edition seems very encouraging as I get to see a mixture of local brands as well as brands from Thailand here. It reminds me of the Chatuchak Weekend Market – except that it operates in the daytime.
Here are some photos of what to expect at the event from last evening’s outing.
There is also live singing and interesting art displays at the alleyways.
While you eat and shop, remember to keep the place clean and bin your waste. Beware of mini ramps along the alleyway too.
Do check them out this weekend or next week before it is completely gone. Every weekend offers a different group of vendors.
Some photos of interesting booths and sightings of some event sponsors & partners for Artbox Singapore.
