Blue Beauties @ GARDENS BY THE BAY SINGAPORE

Looking for a place to go on a weekend?

I always find visiting the Gardens by the Bay a therapeutic thing to do at times. Especially in the evening after a long day at work. Or on some weekends when I needed a short break from doing assignments.

Took the chance to visit the Flower Dome once again – on a weekday not too long ago. In conjunction with the 5th anniversary, there is a special floral display of all things BLUE. In this special edition, we see different blue hues of flowers on display set in a romantic country garden setting.

As you step into the Flower Dome, you are welcomed by the two blue structures which act like the garden’s gate. Walking past it will lead you along the permanent foliage down the stairway to the main centrepiece on display.

As you descend, you will get to see rows of the blue and purple hue of flowers lining the walkways. Upon entering the centre area of the Flower Dome, that is where the real floral display begins. The entire space is transformed into something like a Country Garden.

There is what seems like plants where the floral can be used food dye as well as Totems of little children, chickens and ducks. These props seem to transport us to the English Country side perhaps of the olden times.

I personally like the choices of colours displayed – where the blue and purple hues blend exceptionally well with the pastel colours of the props in yellow, orange and blue.

The Gardens by the Bay organises various floral displays on an ongoing basis. If have visited it once and really enjoyed the positive vibes from the Flower Dome and Cloud Forest. You may wish to check out the Gardens by the Bay Annual pass going at 50% off this month of June 2017.
