Courtyard by Marriott Hong Kong (Guest Room, City View)

During my recent trip to Hong Kong, finally decided to visit Courtyard by Marriott Hong Kong. This was one of the properties which I have wanted to try since my last trip back in Oct 2016. So it was a good opportunity to check it out this trip.

The hotel is conveniently located near the MTR – HKU Station on the West Island line with approximately 6 mins on foot. Right in front of the hotel’s main entrance, there is the City Flyer bus bound for Hong Kong International Airport – A12; as well as the tramway station at the corner of Water Street (that is also the tramway stop name).

The hotel is located next to the Victoria Harbour, with a great harbor view and easy access to the financial district. The hotel also offers a complimentary shuttle to major Hong Kong Island business districts; a restaurant that serves meals, in-room dining and an indoor gym which operates 24 hours. There is also the executive lounge on the 6th floor.

Room

The Guest Room is available in King bed only, however, it has a spacious room space built-in due to the compact cabinets and bathroom design. The hotel also has mini-bar on demand where the fridge in each room is not stock with mini bar items unless requested.

The bathroom is quite spacious and comes with standard toiletries and standing showers.

Overall Experience

The hotel is slightly pricier compared to Courtyard by Marriott Shatin (link to review). On the contrary given its location, it is still worthwhile for the time savings if the traveling for the trip is more focus on HK Island.
