Mono Deluxe @ Wanderlust Hotel (Singapore)

Did a weekend stay at the Mono Deluxe room at Wanderlust Hotel. This is a unique 28 room hotel located along Dickson road. It used to be a school.

Mono Deluxe Room (Big Theme)

The interior of the mono series rooms are spacious and each has its own unique features and interior decor. Every floor has a different theme. The rooms come with free use of the items in the mini bar. There is also a free mobile phone which can double up as a wifi-hotspot for travellers to use – which reminds me of my recent stay at Dorsett Mongkok.

The is the outdoor jacuzzi located on the second floor as well as an activity area located in the lobby area on the ground floor near the front desk. The outdoor area is open from 6am until 10pm. As the hotel is small with 28 rooms, there are not many facilities around, partly due to the size and it is a boutique hotel.

Breakfast is available at the all-day dining bar and restaurant on the ground floor. They offer a very simple spread of bread with eggs, coffee and tea.

Overall Experience

It was a speedy check in at the hotel and the main lobby is a cosy private space. The space surrounding the guest life feels like you are sitting in a terrarium looking outside towards the interesting green space.

The room that I stayed in was a Monotone room – with a ‘BIG’ theme on it. The room feels compact despite its size with a maximised use of space within to include a bathtub. The windows by the two sides of the room look out towards the alley on one side and the slip road along Dickson Road. The bedding is comfortable while the coffee and tea making facilities and the mini bar make the stay very welcoming.
