Hotel Review: Intercontinental Singapore (Heritage Room)

My 2nd visit to an Intercontinental property – first was last year in Hong Kong; and also a second time in a heritage hotel in Singapore.

Heritage Room

The Heritage rooms are located on the 2nd and 3rd floor of the hotel. The rooms are located in the Heritage wings. These rooms are built in such that they resemble the olden straits Chinese room styles in the early days.

Room facilities

The room has a bathtub, shower, 2 sinks – for his and hers, 2 lounge chairs, a coffee table build in with the minibar with wooden carvings to resemble some straits Chinese style carving and lots of space within the room.

There is also a french press for brewing coffee – quite uncommon as most of the hotels either serve instant coffee mix or Nespresso capsules.

Notable Service & Amenities

There is also the HDMI port which can connect your electronic device to the smart  TV for the enhanced viewing experience. Though the ports by the writing desk are no longer in use, you may connect your HDMI cable directly to the Smart TV or request for assistance from the AV team from the hotel.

The hotel comes with a swimming pool (limited operating hours daily) and a 24 hours fitness centre.

The Executive lounge is located on the 2nd floor near the Heritage Wing.
