About H Diary
Established – March 2016
The Blog – H Diary
Prior to establishing H Diary in 2016, I took a 3-year hiatus from blogging. Realising during the short break that I have a love to share what I see of the world around me, I decided to start my writing again. The inspirations came from my interest to explore the themes of Food, Reflections, Leisure in the world we live in.
The articles crafted in this blog will feature various themes from the edible to the non-edible content for both the eyes and the mind. The aim is to provide a different perspective towards living, understanding and appreciating the little things around us.
The blog is also a repository of the past written posts from my previous 2 blogs prior to 2016 when H Diary SG was launched. Subsequently, the blog was renamed to H Diary since March 21, 2017.
I hope to bring out interesting insights of nature and art appreciation through my writing. At the same time, I would like to create a sense of awareness of the little things around us from the edible to the non-edibles – food, hotels, as well as trip experiences from exploring new places. There are occasional commentary articles about investments in the finance market.
The Other Purposes
The blog also serves as a platform for me to further enhance my writing skills and gain exposure to the society at large.
Concurrently, I hope that my writing can reach out to serve a variety of different audiences globally. While some of the blog content may appear similar to what is on the mainstream blogs, I do hope to infuse some interesting perspective through my writing, and through the various senses – you might be on your journey of discovery again.
As you will have noticed, the blog has some paid advertisements run through WordsAds by WordPress. These are featured to supplement the running of the blog, though I did it as a hobby and as an alternative method for me to continue my learning and sharing.
Since 2016, H Diary has had invitations to attend art events and fairs from the following:
– Pop and Contemporary Fine Art (Affordable Art Fair Singapore & Singapore Contemporary)
– Affordable Art Fair Singapore
Having the Friends of the Gardens (Gardens by the Bay) and Gallery Insider (National Gallery Singapore) memberships has allowed me to spend time in these two places to look into the Botanical and Arts to create articles relating events and shows which are showcased in both venues. Another of my favourite area to visit is the ArtScience Museum at Marina Bay Sands where there will be occasional write ups published.
Blog readership on this blog fluctuates from time to time. While most of the visitors begin their journey to the blog via the search engines. There has been organic growth of double-digit over the one year since the blog was started.
